DIRECTOR OF FINANCE (CORPORATE)
Director of Finance Chicago, IL
We are currently seeking a Director of Finance to join our team. The Director of Finance is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining management information and reporting systems needed to manage the organization’s financial, accounting, and payroll functions. As a member of the leadership team, the Director of Finance is involved in assisting the CEO with financial and strategic planning, policies, and systems that meet the organization’s financial needs. The length and depth of relevant work experience will be considered. Full time, 40 hrs per week, open until filled.
Qualifications:
Professional & Technical Knowledge Possesses advanced level general skills, including written and verbal communication skills, computational and computer skills, and mathematical knowledge frequently acquired through completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting. CPA or MBA strongly preferred. Length and depth of relevant work experience will be considered.
Substitution: A Master’s Degree in public or business administration, economics or a closely related field from an accredited college or university may be substituted for one year of the general required experience. CPA a plus.
Requirements
Education: Graduation from an accredited four year college or university with a major in accounting, finance, economics, or a closely related field.
Experience: Minimum of five years of progressively responsible managerial, fiscal, personnel or governmental administrative and/or analytical work, at least one year of which must have been for a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) at a level equivalent to Accountant. Three or more years of qualifying experience in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) is highly desired and preferred.

ACCOUNTANT I, BOOKKEEPER (CORPORATE)
POSITION SUMMMARY: Accountant responsibilities includes performing day to day financial entries, posting journal entries, auditing financial documents and procedures, reconciling bank statements and calculating tax payments and returns. Other responsibilities include supporting external audits request, managing accounts receivables and payable, billing collections.
Accountant also provides financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data; preparing reports. Investigate ways to improve profitability and analyze markets for business opportunities, such as expansion, mergers, and acquisitions.
The Accountant will work closely with the Finance Director in all financial and financial related assignments
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company (payroll, invoicing, and other transactions)
2. Work collaboratively with Human Resources, Revenue Cycle and CHP Leadership Team
3. Prepare daily cash balances, daily deposits other monthly and quarterly management reporting as requested
4. Participate in strategic data analysis, research, and modeling for senior company leadership
5. Support project analysis, validation of plans, and ad-hoc requests
6. Manage the company's accounts receivable, payables, billing and collections, financial accounting, monitoring, and reporting systems
7. Create, maintain and enforce compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements
8. Prepare and revise department and program budgets
9. Support monthly, quarterly and annual closings
10. Reconcile accounts payable and receivables
11. Ensure timely bank deposits, tax payments
12. Support all external audits inclusive of the annual CHP CPA HRSA required audit
13. Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
14. Support Finance Director on periodic reports to include; HRSA FFR reporting, budget revisions, Medicare/Medicaid cost reports and other funding sources reporting
15. Prepares and support the Finance Director asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information
16. Maintain a capital budget, capital schedule and ensure the disposal of capital equipment purchased with federal funds guidelines are followed
17. Documents financial transactions by entering account information and substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents
18. Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures
19. Guides accounting clerical, revenue cycle and other staff by coordinating activities and answering questions.
20. Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
21. Performing month end journal entries as needed
22. Secure financial information by completing data base backups and maintains financial security by following internal controls
23. Prepare payments by verifying documentation, securing appropriate signatures and request disbursements
24. Comply with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new
HRSA and other legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
25. Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information
in addition to trends and support all emergency reporting needs inclusive of added duties as they relate to COVID-19 and similar need

Description of Primary Attributes

Licenses & Certifications & Qualification:

5. Experience with general ledger functions
6. Excellent business judgment, analytical, and decision-making skills

8. Work experience as an Accountant
9. Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
10. Hands-on experience with accounting software like FreshBooks and QuickBooks
11. Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables, Word and PowerPoint
12. Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
13. BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree
14. Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus
15. 5-8 years of experience in accounting and/or financial analysis
Knowledge & Expertise
Requires specific accounting/finance knowledge in order to select proper methods to support success. Requires experience in directly managing financial objectives.

FRONT OFFICE ASSISTANT (FOA)- ALL CHP OF ILLINOIS LOCATIONS

Functions as front desk receptionist for the medical, dental and behavioral health clinic and provides other administrative support as requested. Works in collaboration with the CHP healthcare teams as well as our outreach team to ensure the delivery of high quality, efficient, and patient-centric care.
POSITION SUMMARY:
1) Performs a variety of clinic receptionist duties including:
• Greeting patients, vendors and other visitors.
• Registering and/or qualifying patients for CHP services.
• Checking in patients and acquiring updated insurance and demographic information, including family income and supporting documentation.
• Scheduling patient appointments for all primary health care and dental services.
2) Assist with proactive patient reminders calls and letters for medical services due as determined by the clinic director.
3) Performs patient exit services such as billing patients for services rendered, explaining billing practices, and arranging for follow-up appointments as necessary.
4) Handles patient records and related documentation
Requirements
1) Bilingual Spanish/English required
2) Previous knowledge/training Dentrix, Centricity and/or other Dental and Medical electronic records
3) Duties require the ability to effectively perform in response to workflow or ongoing direction by supervisors or others

PART-TIME DENTAL HYGIENIST
HARVARD AND AURORA, IL
Community Health Partnership of Illinois (CHP) is seeking a mission-driven Dental Hygienist with a passion for the dental healthcare needs of migrant, seasonal farmworker and rural, underserved populations.
•Provides quality clinical and dental hygiene services, as well as oral health education, to patients of assigned clinic(s).
• Performs basic dental hygiene procedures as specified by the Illinois Dental Practice Act, including:
• Using dental instruments to clean calcareous deposits, accretions, and stains from teeth and beneath gum margins to include prophylaxis, periodontal debridement and scaling and root planning.
• Performing coronal polishing.
• Placing dental sealants.
• Palpating and visually examining patient’s extra-oral and intra-oral structures for abnormal conditions or signs of disease.
• Charting normal conditions of teeth and surrounding structures and conditions of decay and disease in paper or electronic dental record (Dentrix) for diagnosis and treatment by dentist.
• Experience working with children and Spanish language skills are a plus
• Exposes and interprets radiographs (Dexis) and uses Dentrix to documents services, creates, maintains and updates patient charts, records, and information.
• High School graduate
• Possesses specific professional knowledge or business/industry acumen frequently acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s degree or RDH Degree from an accredited 2 - 4 year college or university.
